Shepherd’s Place Foundation provides hotel rooms (while in the program), agency referral services, and resources to support the transitional needs of individuals who are already in the Hotel but want to join the program, coming off the street, or have completed other programs within a 90-day to 2-year period.
When you volunteer to join our program, we (SPF) will help provide you with a room and connect you with outside agencies to deliver services. Services include: clothes, food, education, transportation, credit counseling, and assistance in locating permanent, suitable housing.
Our program does not offer services to individuals convicted of sexual offenses or specific categories of violent crimes.
Your participation in our program is voluntary.
However, you must complete a confidential intake assessment and orientation to be accepted by a licensed therapist or counselor.
Everyone who volunteers for the program must take a drug test. No exceptions. Note: If you test positive, it does not disqualify you from the program. If you test positive, you must agree to drug counseling. Refusing to comply will disqualify you from continuing in the program.
After 30 days in the hotel room, we will discuss the SPF Hotel Homestay program to see if you want to participate. After 90 days in our program, we will reassess your needs to determine the next steps in aftercare services. We will continue working with you one-on-one to ensure all the necessary resources are available through our programs and partner agencies.
Shepherds Place Foundation has agreed to provide you with rental assistance and transitional services during the Homestay Program. You agree not to violate the rules and regulations: no drugs, no alcohol, and no prostitution. You understand that if you violate these rules, you will be expelled from the program and will be responsible for your program fee payments.
By signing a trespass form, you acknowledge that you agree to no drugs, no alcohol, no prostitution, and no other behaviors that violate hotel property policies. You will accept full responsibility if a courtesy officer must respond to your room due to misconduct. You will be asked to leave the room; if you do not comply, you will be trespassed. The courtesy officer will then remove you from the property. You must not return; otherwise, you will be arrested for trespassing and taken to jail.
